- TIERS: comprise the gradient (1-7) of the urban-to-rural regional transect.
- CATCHMENTS: assembly of the sector components of growth and open space within the movement network.
- COMMUNITY UNITS: building block of walkable settlement sustainable and traditional town making.
- SETTLEMENT TYPES: assemblies of community units, defined as crossroad, hamlet, village, town, city.
- SECTOR COMPONENTS: intended areas for growth (G-1 to G-5) and open space uses (OS-1 to OS-2).
